Very simple, but would be great visually. Basically this, Have blank track panels that we can put wherever we want in the mix and arrange window. It would void the need for learning how to color sessions etc . . . For instance. The current layout: Bk1 - Bkg2 - Bkg3 - BkgHi1 - BkgHi2 - BkgHi3 My suggested addition: Bk1 - Bkg2 - Bkg3 - BLANK PANEL - BkgHi1 - BkgHi2 - BkgHi3 See how your eye and brain broke that down to 2 seperate groups just by me putting BLANK PANEL in the middle. This would really help me a lot. Esp with VERY Large sessions and Busses Aux Sends etc . . . Esp VCA's and what not. My sessions look CRAZY. Panels would fix it right up.
You know, I'd like this idea too! :) Just needs a second thought to accept it. Any one good with rustling up a example image to inspire the Visual learners :)
that's a good idea, perhaps the tickable option to make folders work this way and have them not be busses, or a right click option or something. so parent folder would be blank, or maybe just the ability to make any track blank would be just as good actually now i think of it. the folder part would just be complicated for nothing i guess.
Cool idea, I think it'd be useful if you could turn off a track's visibility in the timeline too for things like busses that don't need audio or MIDI going directly into them, to emphasize that they aren't a normal track and help the eye separate them.
