Are you saying, you would like to have the Insert and Send sections from the Mixer Control Panel (in the mixer window), be shown in the Track Control Panel (arrangement area controls) ?

You could take your cue from Protools actually. They replicate the mixer functionality in the arrangement view quite well and let users show or hide components. Here's a bunch of screenshots I took for another thread that shows the versatility of this kind of layout. ~1.5 MB (Megaupload Mirror)
