Lets say I want to have the guitar only on left for the intro, then when the song kicks in I want it to be in the left and right. Can I save it to where it will automatically do this on its own only using one guitar track?

Yes! In your edit window on the track with the guitar audio, under the tab that says "waveform", click and change it to "pan". Then select the grabber tool and click and drag your fade where you would like it. If it's a stereo track you will have to change left and right pan individually. If a mono track, there will only be 1 "pan" option. It's the same concept as changing the volume with the grabber.
