I am new to the caravan scene and after my week break I am looking at going off again in May,whats your top recommendation for a quite site with electric hook up, good walks and scenery, basically any where. Dan
No idea about the services for caravans as I've only ever camped there, but it is stunningly beautiful. The only downside is if the weather is bad as the wind blowing up Loch Long gets quite strong on this exposed site.
We go here every year; Its in the Lake District at a place called Boot. Generally when you go it has a sign on the gate that says "full" they use this to keep the numbers down. They're very Children & pet friendly & the shower/toilet block is always very clean and tidy. The thing I like best is that a mile or two up the road are "wrynose pass & hardknott pass". Try driving up there without a great big smile on yer face. There are 3 good pubs within staggering distance all with great food and REAL ALE. If you like trains theres a great "pleasure railway" the ratty. I don't need to tell you that there are hundreds of great walks nearby. ff
