Hi, I have a problem with my car sucking more air than it needs. I have the ECL (engine check light) on and I have taken it to a very good friend and mechanic to diagnose. He found that two vacuum pipes had come adrift.* One he has relocated, but the other he has no idea where it is supposed to go. He did say that he thought it was supposed to under the manifold.* I forgot to ask which manifold it might be, but he said that there was very little room to manouver to find where it locates. LOL...I laughed so much and forgot the logical question!!! Can anybody please tell me if there is a vacuum pipe under the front manifold and where it runs from and where it runs to? Can anybody please tell me if there is a vacuum pipe under the exhuast manifold/turbo area and where it runs from and where it runs to? Better still...does anyone have a an exploded diagram of the vacuum system on a 1995 T5 that I can download and print in order to help him help me? The car has got to go back next Wednesday as he is fully booked for the next few days, so if anyone can supply answers to the above before then, I would be truely grateful. Thanks

Ive not got a picture but if its the same as my V70R 97 thers a Vacuum pipe on the Power steering pump end of the manifold which is a rubber elbow which runs in a sleeve with the breather system pipe and it goes onto the hard intake pipe on the turbo again a elbow. Now on mine that pipe with the elbows is a small hard plastic pipe that get fragile and breaks.Maybe that one. I think someone will post a pic soon.Hope this helps,Mike

If its a T5 you have, there is a vacume pipe which goes to the left hand side of your inlet manifold. very difficult to get into without removing inlet manifold. Quite a easy job to do. regards stuart

Hi Guys, Thank you for your help. I appreciate it. I have downloaded and printed off your replies and I will pass them on to my friend. That vac diagram shows the location and routing of the vac lines very well! Thanks again guys.
