this is just a little example that i made. if anyone interest about using midi plugins ... its one of the combination of Reaper + harmonizer + pizMidiLooper plugin :insertpiz midiLooper mp3s: ( first 3 tracks "FYGT" , "thankyou" and "thankyou intro" they are just experiments so please don't expect the full finished work there. have fun Yıldırım
Great to see this in use. I prefer MIDI plugs for Native, hardware or DSP for audio effects. I find these type of plugs very useful. Thanks for sharing.
hi thanks for the comments Staccato strings from the Cinematic strings "Monster Staccato" and its free ! others are not free :/ Lass and Symphobia mostly that i used the videos. ... ok im gonna try to explain but my English very terrible you warned! :) its so simple actually here is the Channel setup Structure that project in the video : 1.KEY inputs : Scale - Chord entry to the midiLooper's ForceToScale channels ML has 16 slots and you can define the different scale input channel ( from keyboard or from any of the chord generator midi plugins) for every slots separately if you want.. i prepared 4x key channel for the future needs. 2.ML 3.RECORD : (its has "Record Midi Output" Setup) receives all midi channels from ML its for the backup or for the easily re-arranging the project so after everything ok just record the all midi data, keep the works safe and/or extend ,re-mix , re- arrange etc... all instrument channels that i use : receives the midi input from this RECORD Channels. i hope this is done for the channel routing structure .. ____ what they are doing for me: as i said above Harmonizer gives the chords to the ML's Force to Scale Channel . and the ML : its correcting the notes , sequences in the own piano roll according to the chords that received. ..about notes in the ML ofc you can record your own sequences in it but i prefer simple way: 1: record your sequences in reaper and alt+click for the drag drop to the ML's piano roll .. easy, 2: you can use any of the midi files... i prepared an archive ( splitting to the channels first then splitting to the 8 -16-32 bar lengths etc.) .. preparing like this when you start to mess with chords + sequences + sounds .... become to the Time saver ... so i prefer this way actually. i hope it helps greetings Yıldırım
i've tried to use piz looper a couple times and i had a hard time getting it going...which is a shame, because piz stuff is always brilliant. any chance of a play by play? plugin wise, that is - i don't need help getting midi in/out of the looper, i just can't seem to make it...well, loop my performance.
thanks, i really just need to spend more time on my laptop with it. i'll ask more at the piz forum if i can't figure it out myself. if all goes well with this plugin it will be the crux of my live performance.
