Hey, This morning i woke up, started playing my winamp..and my digi002 rack's 1394 light started blinking on and off and then the music cut off. i tried to re-play, but it wouldn't work, and then i restarted and it did the same thing. What's wrong?? anyone know? (i just replaced the power harness like 2 months ago..so i don't think it could be that..) any help much appreciated... chal7ds

Still sounds like the power harness issue. If you've dealt with high humidity, it may be the new connections. I had this happen 3 days after I replaced my harness in the 002 Rack. I recleaned the connections with the cleaner that came with the replacement harness and haven't had a problem since. I'd start with that before you pull your hair out trying to find other things.

Yup. It sounds like the power harness issue again. Time to open up the unit and wiggle wires and connectors. I didn't need to, but a contact cleaner sounds like it will help. Good Luck and let us know if it works.

you can get a contact cleaner from most electronic stores (even Radio Shack). These cleaners are designed to clean the metal surfaces and not leave a residue after drying. It helps clean off oxidation. I've seen spray on types but I perfer the liquid type that I use a q-tip to apply. By wiggling the connectors on the power harness, it slightly scratches the surface of the metal contacts and removes the oxidation that may be hindering a good connection. This worked for me but if it happens once, it can happen again as oxidation affects all equipment.
