Hello! This has happened to me three times now, and it's scary so I'd like to figure out why it happens. I'm using the Video (ffmpeg/libav encoder) output format, the QT/MOV/MP4 format, MJPEG Video Codec, and 24 bit PCM Audio codec to bounce videos from Reaper. I always have sound when I do it, but once the file gets to someone else's computer it will occasionally be stripped of all audio. When put back onto my computer, it regains the audio. Most interestingly is that if you import the movie into Windows Movie Maker (the only program one of my clients had), it doesn't even register that it ever had audio and just imports a video. Both me and this client were running Windows 10 (though both computers are upgraded from Windows 8). Does anyone know why this might happen and how I can stop it from happening? It never happened to me before I had to uninstall Reaper because I was experiencing video playback issues.

The guide on this forum says Reaper doesn't bounce h.264 (you bounce mkv and then transcode it), and regardless that's not an option in my drop down menu. Is there a way to do that? Moreover, 24-bit audio is the standard for DVD and video, unless I've been taught wrong.

I would take the settings you are using now and just change it from 24 bit to 16 bit and see what happens.

I'll try that when I get a chance. Interestingly, I also tried using the same codec and 24-bit but in an AVI wrapper instead of MOV and it worked fine.

Huh. I tried to install those libraries but I guess it didn't work because I don't have H264. I placed the files with reaper.exe. That was all the guide said to do, is there more?
