I've just licenced my copy of Reaper, which I love, on my spanky new laptop, which is also good as it doesn't fall over like my old one! My wife said she'd treat me to a new cordless mouse, and I stupidly didn't check the forums and bought a stupid logitech one with setpoint software - ARG! After a couple of hours of getting annoyed by the whole zoom/scroll thing I've sent it back, and my question is this: Can anyone reccomend a cordless multi button mouse that works properly with Reaper? Ideally I'm after one with a 4 way scroll and extra assignable buttons. Any ideas? Thanks! Fingerssmith

The scroll works fine with the latest drivers (4.60.122), no problems here.

Really? I installed the latest ones last night just to check and it still did the same thing. It's a logitech VX Nano if that makes a difference?!

But you're still using the Setpoint software right? I'm running Vista Home Premium too. Think I might just send it back and get a different one! Thanks for the input though...

Setpoint 4.60.122, WinXP SP3. What you can do, is check if what I use is indeed the latest, or maybe they have managed to screw it up once more.

I'll have a look, although I wouldn't be that surprised if they had screwed it up again!

I've been using Logitech cordless desktop (s510) forever, if it messed I'd buy another one tomorrow. I don't use the setpoint though, it's just a gimmick there's no need of for.

I haven't got 4 way buttons on mine so I can't comment, I just use it as an ordinary mouse, and I use my keyboard as a keyboard and not an entertainments center. I wouldn't go back to a corded mouse any more than I would get rid of my mobile phone or throw away my remote controls, this is year 2009 and corded mice are IMO history, although I would not object to a decent corded trackball since you don't move them around. You don't want to take too much notice of me though since it is a well known fact on this forum that I hate meeces to pieces :)
