Does Reaper support load sharing with dual-core and quad-core processors? Thanks Super Steely KristEnya (formerly Super kristen)

I'm not positive, but since there are a number of options dealing with multi-core processing, I'll say yes.

works perfectly fine on my quad-core here and shares the load well. Certain audio drivers can cause issues with only one core being used though.

crying here. for a long time i was a amd fan. but gotta give kudos to intel on the i7. sadly outta my budget. my donated dual core gives me plenty of traks to do a song. kristen(op)...people are now building 16 core pc's. look up for example crypticglobe on google. and i'm sure there are others. they were useing dual quad xeon processors. prolly server class mainboards. but i'm waiting for affordeable zillion processor quantum computing..lol. sadly they cant get it outta R n D labs. so i'll prolly be kickin up the daisies by the time it arrives. kristen...a tip...to save buying an expensive pc. lets say you get up to 60 traks on a dual n its puffing out.. the clue normally is time readouts starting to get "sticky".. be bold , like the engineers of old that did gold hits with 3 trak studers. take 30 traks //beds n mix to stereo n reimport to a trak. some say pepper was done on 4 trak. i think at the time from what i was told in uk...they used two machines n bounced. so kristen try sometime bouncing beds to a stereo tape machine for that vintage tape mojo, n then record back into reaper. its fun to try. OR take two 90 buk 4 trak cassette dek machines..n bounce. it'll show you the brilliance of the AE's that did pepper. then import the beds into reaper for more traks.
