Is it true that I CANNOT download the 6.1.1 update if I have a dial-up connection?I have to go back to Guitar Center and have them order the Updater CD for me after I just got through ordering the 6.1 upgrade CD which took about a week to get? Please tell me I'm wrong on this. DJ
OK I'm annoyed! I have not registered my 6.1 update, therefore I cannot download the .1 update.Firstly, why do I have to register an UPDATE or UPGRADE to 6.1 that uses a different number ,the simple fact that I am already an owner, hence upgrade or update purchase.Secondly, the update to 6.1.1 has been out for quite awhile now,why are the 6.1.1 CDs not out yet( I just bought it).Thirdly, why does it say that high speed internet connection is REQUIRED to download the 43 MEG update. Is it required or just preferable?I'll take 4 hours to download it in the night and I'm happy, big deal .The system should be alot simpler. It is just an update right?Jeez. DJ
fax your registration. You will be re'd in no time. I haven't used dial up in years. I didn't know it was still around. Mike is right - at 43 meg you will probably not complete a transfer - it usually bugs out. I am sure you have a friend with high speed - download from there and burn a CD. You acn try the dial up but don't get too upset if it fails.
I'm faxing my new registration # today and hopefully It will be processed by tomorrow.Thanx MSOG for the offer to help.I E-mailed you direct.OHHH I know why DIGI is requiring a second registration # to us who already own the system...we are the DIGI children and we need to be kept track of.Thanx mommy and daddy DIGI DJ
Have you tried any of the Download Manager software products available? They'll normally let you pick up the download from where the previous attempt failed. If you use MSN (which I don't) they offer one ... or check out . Rail
Thanx for the help guys MSOG has schooled me on a download accelerator program Mr. President..I mean Rail .I'm gonna get my new number from mommy and daddy and attempt it myself with my snail like dial up connection this next week.Thanx all. DJ
