Hi guys! You must help me out. Am I just imagine that the x64 version sounds so much smoother with compressor and other effects compared to the x86 version? If I imagine this then it is a real strong belief I got here. Regards everyone.

I would image yes, 100% imagined. Render the same project in both versions and try a null. I would be highly surprised if there was anything but a complete null.

If there is a difference, then one of the two is broken. A possibility, but a simple null test as Bubbagump mentioned would confirm or infirm it.

I had a similar situation, it turned out to be a flakey driver, so yeah just because the files null out tells you exactly that -- the files null out -- it does not speak to real time issues. It might prove valuable in these situations to set up a true double blind test and if you could reliably pick one over the other you'd have something further to investigate.

They sound the same here, ony differences I noticed were: - CPU use is slightly lower in x64. - Reason ReWire worked in a saner way (no slave giving tempo change orders) - x86 VST windows could not be kept on top in x64 as they are seen as another program by windows. (uncool).
