i have a roland fantom xr connected to my mbox via SPDIF. and while i'm tracking i get major static in my cans...any advice???? i tried lowering the midi input, but it still happens. it also does this when i'm track with some virtual instruments, especially TRILOGY. is there anything i can do for this, or should i switch to audio ins instead of SPDIF?? thanks in advance

You have to set the wordclock from internall to external in your hardware settings the static should go a way. as far as the virtual inst's go you got me just turn em down.

i do have my ilok key, usb midi controller keyboard, and the fantom xr plugged into a USB hub (the mbox is feeding directly out of the other usb port on my powerbook). could this have anything to do with getting the static? might i have a bad hub, or is that just the nature of the beast. if so, how can i work around this? if not, what else could it be? DIGI, i need your help on this one!!! thanks in advance
