I had the same problem, I just used ffdshow to decode the file instead of XviD and it worked fine.

I downloaded the ffdshow, and the XViD was already checked (Do I check "Decode using XViD" also?)...I also tried birdy's suggestion and the "DirectShow Multimedia File Reader" was already at the top...

Did anyone of you try the old recommended way (by doom9) to disable the DirectShow multimedia file reader completely and using an Avisynth script as input? I just came to my mind that you have to do resizing anyway when you encode to SVCD from DivX/XviD. Resizing is definitely much faster in Avisynth than in TMPGEnc and I think this is one of the most reliable ways to do the transcoding. Just an idea, tiki4

Using the settings as supplied by Birdy the xvid encoded fine in TMPGenc. It did stutter when played back on my pc but not when played on my dvd player. Has any one else played the movie back on there dvd player.??
