Male Laser Hair Experience

I'm a guy considering laser for my back and chest area. Is there any difference in how it works for men versus women? Also concerned about the pain level since I've heard mixed things about how much it hurts.

Pain-wise, it varies by person and location - areas with thicker skin like the back tend to be more tolerable than sensitive spots. Speaking from experience as a guy who got laser done on back, chest, and shoulders - it's definitely worth it! The pain is really not as bad as I expected, maybe a 4 out of 10 on most areas. Back was actually one of the easier spots for me. The place I went to, laser hair removal in Chicago, had cooling systems built into their lasers which helped a lot with comfort. They also offered numbing cream for more sensitive people, though I didn't end up needing it. The coarse hair thing is real though - took me about 8 sessions total, but seeing the difference after just 3-4 treatments kept me motivated. No more dealing with back hair or razor burn on my chest!
