What plugins are they? Can they be updated? How can they be implemented when you're doing a mix in ProTools? Any other info about it? Thanks BTW I think it looks pretty sweet!

The onboard FX are for when the 002 is used for live sound mixing... not for when its used as a ProTools interface. Yup - it does look sweet! MPT

I don't understand what's the point in having those built-in fx at all if you can't use them within Pro Tools??? Sometimes Digidesign really makes me wonder... Z

It would make sense if you could use them on the way in, high pass, limiting and so on.

I find it hard to believe that the fx will be anything but ultra crappy. They can only be used with the 002 working as a "live" digital mixer. There is no way these fx cost more than $25 to add to the unit. It seems like an afterthough. SOmeone said, "hey, why dont we toss in some cheezy dsp fx, it will only cost $24! We dont even have to figure out how to make it work with Pro tools!" You would think that the fx would work with some kind of software, say..like..umm....lets ee... I dunno...maybe..PRO TOOLS!
