Easiest/convenient way to disable a V70

Can I have suggestions please for the most practical and easiest way to disable a V70 whilst parked? I toyed with the idea of removing HT leads, but constantly plugging/unplugging will surely loosen the connection over time. No alarm/immobiliser suggestions please, this is purely for belt and braces purposes. I also considered letting a tyre or two down, but reinflating will be time consuming.

Pull the fuel pump relay? On the second shape Rover 200's the accident fuel cutoff switch was behind the ashtray and could be flicked on and off at will if your fingers were long enough.

Unplug your cam sensor and leave the connector resting on so it looks like its connected!

if you are just after disabling the car, why don't you just unplug the battery? lock all doors using central locking first (inside the car), get out, unplug, lock driver door

Personally, I'd go for something like the fuel pump relay, or a critical fuse.

How's about something like this??? It's easy to fit, unobtrusive, and keeps the battery ticking over for your stereo codes, clock e.t.c. I know alot of the mini buffs use them as they don't require any real "installation" but are a fairly good theft deterrent. HTH Mick

I think, if you disconnect the cam sensor you can still bump start the car? Any more info on that would be appreciated from anyone. One thing I heard of was to put a two pole switch in your car, one to cut the power to the fuel pump and also to disconnect the feed to the fuel gauge. If a thief did get into your car and try to nick it, it would seem the tank was empty and you might even get a gallon of fuel out of it when you found the car at the bottom of the nearest hill. I did this with an Astra GTE I had and if I forgot to flick the switch, the car would start briefly and then die as the residual fuel pressure faded.
