Does REAMOTE Work For You? (G5 X2/Tiger)

I'm still working to understand Reaper functionality and today I tried Reamote on two identical G5 dual 1.87GHz macs running Tiger 10.4.11, also identical versions of Reaper (2.99 A2b). I followed instructions and couldn't get it working, although I saw signs of communication at times in the Reamote window. Any of you OSX guys/gals have Reamote working? And maybe suggest some troubleshooting. The documentation is less than scarce for this networking capability and I'm no Networking guru. Thanks.

No? Yes? Anyone OSX - I'll even take OS 7.6. [sound of crickets...(but only on one machine)]

No Mac users using REMOTE? It would be nice to have a Mac person offer some OSX specific insight - especially whether it does work for them and what glitches to look for.

Reamote Question on Crossplatform 

Hi, newbie here. Does anyone know if Reamote works cross-platform? If not then are there any plans for this? I tried it with a new macbook pro to a desktop pc. Both can see eachother but can't actually access the plugins. Any help will be very much appreciated. thinwire
