Looking for V70 rear facing seats for a 2002

My first post...so please go easy on me. Fisrt off....is this the right place for V70 posts? Reason I ask is....it's not real clear which forum is for V70. I see one for new V70 (2008+), but nothing for 2000-2008 V70's, so I'm assuming this is hte place. I am in the market for a diesel V70. I think I have spotted one that might fit the bill, but it doesn't have the rear-facing seats that I want. So, please excuse me if this has been asked a million times (I searched and couldn't find it), but is buying the rear facing seats, and fitting them myself, a viable option?...or is this cost prohibitive? What might I expec tto pay for these seats from the Volvo? (here in the UK). I've looked for used rear facing seats, but there just doesn't seem to be any out there for sale...let alone in the color I need. Thanks, Toolman_Johnny

If you'd searched at all you would've found that thread, it was only a couple of weeks ago, and this forum is called "S60 Series (all model years) and 70 Series (2001 to 2007)" which would've answered your other question. Sorry, but what do you expect?

Hi, Have you tried Volvo specialist breaker like Salvo and others? Have you actually asked a dealer if they are still available and if so, the cost and availability?? Des. . . ;)

I'd try a find a car with them in if you really want them. Have been trying to track some down cheaply for my V70 for over a year or so but they almost never come up for sale. You'll find loads turning up on Ebay for the old estates but not P2 cars. I seem to remember the dealers wanting silly money (as usual). If Volvo have discontinued them could be a way of trying to persuade us into an XC90!

PII seats rarely come up for sale - ebay seems favourite. Better to find car with them fitted, you will pay a surplus - there are cars right now in the Autotrader in the 7-seat combo. Only come in cloth and you will need to retrim in leather, if you desire such. Note, loose underfloor space with 7-seat. Check dealer price in case they are clearing out stock as they no longer fit 7-seat option.
