Looks hot.. Anyone try it? I like how the software can randomize notes. Is there a free alternative to the program and could I hook a speaker/ headphone into my interface instead of using a piezo piece, I tried to make one from scratch a while ago but it didn't work

It's only a piezo isn't it? Go to radio shack and get one and plug it into your audio interface. There are lots of plugins for piezo to midi, a couple js in reaper but my favorite is . Lots of randomizer js and stuff too. Or, you could get into PD or MAX etc.

Does radio shack have them premade already? I tried to make one a long time ago following many a diy tutorial, one which mentioned to get the piezo from shack, it was a pain in the ass trying to crack open the plastic casing and I ended up wasting a good a mount of money running through them all as they became damaged due to the force of opening them. I do not have a soldering gun unless theres some other way to connect the wires to the piezo.

The price is ok and it works just fine. Above all: it ist fun to play with! The piezo is in a sturdy casing, there is nothing cheap about it. The software works without problem (Win7). The only thing a little annoying is, that the surface you stick it to has to be really smooth. But I do not regret buying it, I do not think that I would have been able to build anything in this quality, let alone write the software.

I wish the software was sold separately what really attracts me about it is the randomize section of the interface and how scales can be selected So it's not like the software is churning out random notes that does not go together. I'm not that great of a pianist, and this would really help me out with programming realistic hand drum patterns . . If I could find an alternative to this or perhaps even purhcase the software ill be alright. Problem is I don't get paid until next month!
