automatic delay compensation for the UAD card. Please!!! Most other software has it. Better dual processor use would also be nice.

My list: 1. Drag & Drop file import (audio and midi). 2. Freeze tracks. 3. Automatic Plugin Delay Compensation - for inserts AND auxes (that should cover the UAD-1). 4. Full Dual CPU support. 5. Alternate Mixes of the same Session. 6. An Arpeggio plugin 7. Surround panning and mixing. 8. Direct REX, Apple Loop, and Acid File support 9. AU Plugin Support If it had all that, I'd stop learning DP.
I have said it before in previous "what's needed in PT7" posts: * A bounce to disk feature that is faster than real-time. I do a weekly radio show that needs to be edited for local and national airing, which means 2 full-time bounces which means 3 hours a week of downtime. I have a 1.8G G5 processor which should be able to bounce a 60 minute show in 5 minutes or less... PLEASE Digi let me get on with my work!!!
Yes Iwilliam, you certainly have most of it covered but the dual processor is on top of my list. What good is a dual computer when only half is being used. Come on Digi, make PT7 the bomb.

Man i like this discussion! If only it would come true! my top 3 list of industry standards missing from the industry standard: 1. Offline bounce to disk (took me longer to bounce a techno demo the other day than to mix it!) 2. Delay compensation (nudging and rendering is B.S. in the year 2005!!!) 3. Dual CPU support (and maybe 64 bit support too... ok its not industry standard yet, but it would be nice.) feels good to rant. If Digi does this, I promise i'll never bad mouth them again!

Since a lot has been already said, I'll just add a small detail that drives me nuts every time I clean large sessions. When you "select unused regions" and "clear selected" I'd love to see a check box or button to be able to "Apply to all" so I wouldn't have to click a thousand times "Yes". I know some cannot be deleted for session policies, but maybe this could be applied to "not really used" regions. Thanks a lot, Al.
