Mbox peak meter problem. No sound!!!$##$ 

Had my Mbox for about a year without any problems except the ocassional glictch-pop-crackle after recording for a while. Now every time I turn on my G4 the peak meters go straight to red without any input signal to dictate that warning. To make matters worse, sound will not come through the inputs no matter what. I've tried reinstalling the software and updating the firmware yet nothing works. I'm afraid that I may have a hardware issue on my hands. (the peak meters are red when nothing is inputted as well) Anyone have experience with this? Any replies would be appreciated.

If you've done the firmware update and the driver then the only thing I could suggest is to unplug averything and then plug back in.(which you may, of course, have already done.) This has worked for some in the past.

Yeah, I've tried everything I can think of. Now I have to get a return authorization and send it back for repair. Thanks for the tip though. peace
