Here's what I'm trying to do: 1. Record audio in 24 bit 96 kHz session (Digi002) 2. Bounce audio (down sample) to 44.1 kHz (why??....I need to edit session on my Mbox on the road) 3. Bounce the down sampled 44.1 kHz files back up to 96 kHz and import the audio into a 96 bit session for final mix ...question is will down sampling my files to 44.1 affect the quality if bounced back to 96 kHz?? thanks!

Not a stupid question. You were just looking at it a little "catty-wompus"... a term one of my flight instructors used to use when I needed to back up and see things from a different angle. Good luck-

If its financially feasible sell the mbox on ebay, use money you get to purchase the mbox2 pro which supports up to 96kHz.
