When I select count-in (for either playback or recording), it only plays the first click and then is silent. After count-in the metronome works just fine, with all beats audible. Changing the count-in lenght does not seem to have an effect on this behaviour. Are my settings up the creek or is there an actual issue? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
I still have no luck to get the count-in audible - I tried uninstalling, deleting the reaper.ini file and reinstalling (with latest 3.1 version), but that had no impact at all. When I tick the count-in options (for either playback or recording), it only clicks once at the start and then is silent until the track actually starts, after which the metronome works perfectly. Very strange. Does anyone have any further ideas how to get it working / what might be causing it? It's rather annoying not being able to count-in when recording...
Hmmm - made some discoveries about the count-in clicks, but it's becoming even more of a mystery: - The synth clicks do actually work during count-in, but for some reason they appear to have a volume swell / auto-fade-in or something during the count-in clicks (making them sound kind of "reverse"). As a result the default 4ms click duration does not leave them audible. They only become audible if I change the click duration to at least ~20ms, although below 40ms they are quite faint, and definitely sound "reverse". After count-in the clicks sound just fine, as if the strange auto-fade at the start of each click had disappeared. - Sample clicks work, but the samples sound more quiet during the count-in, and so appear to have a similar auto-fade thing going on. Can anyone else replicate this behaviour? (i.e. is this a bug in Reaper, or is it just me?)
