Frankly I'm stunned that they have not fix such a glaring shortcoming after all of this time. As it stands it appears vcas are unusable for me because if I assign them to the child track they will starve my bus compressor and will change the tone and if I assign them to The Parent Track i get double gain so either way they dont work. Wtf

Okay, here's a little idea of how this can be done. First of all let me explain that I only put tracks that will have either audio items, midi items, or envelopes in the TCP. All other tracks go to the MCP. The picture below shows a very simple setup: In the TCP, VCA traks, and Vox & BGV (Back Ground Vocals), all recorded audio tracks. In the MCP, a Sub-Vocals for all the vocals, Sub-Vox, Sub-BGV, and the compressor track for the vocals. I thought of showing every thing like Nathan did, but decided to just include a RPP file so you can see the routing for your self. An important thing to note is that, the Sub-Vox & Sub-BGV sends to the compressor are Pre-Fader. Check it out and let me know what you think. :)

My football shaped head doesn't compute. Vox ..VoxLd----------> has channel strip, compressor and hard limiter .....Vox1---------> send to verb .....Vox2---------> send to verb, delay .....Vox3---------> send to verb ..VoxBg----------> has channel strip, compressor and hard limiter .....Vox4---------> send to verb, delay .....Vox5---------> send to verb .....Vox6---------> send to verb, delay The goal is to be able to adjust the volume levels of Vox, VoxLd and VoxBg and have the sends follow. So far I'm still lost and not seeing a way. Btw, I only use TCP, never MCP at all.

Maybe you can re-route each send to a new fader/track (and hide them if you want) and then group those faders together with the folder master.

Thanks but these workarounds don't tend to work in the real world where you have a band recording and you need to add another track and now you have to spend time fiddling with sends and fake channels that have no purpose other than to satisfy a workaround and before you know it all the mojo is dead because you are stuck in the software routing world and your guitar player is going "Record now ?"
