If I am thinking on buying an HD system one day, should I just buy the TDM plugs? I heard that all the MCDSP plugs with exception to CHANNEL G will work in PT LE ( which is what I have right now). HAS anyone demo'd the DIGI analog tape plug? How does it compare to the analog channel?

As to McDSP plugins, ALL of their plugins (including Channel G and ML4000) DO work with LE. The Native/RTAS versions of Channel G and ML4000 for Windows XP were released about a month ago. The Mac RTAS/Native versions have been around for a bit longer. Not sure what your question is regarding thinking about one day getting an HD system, or should you buy the TDM plugins? TDM plugins don't work with Native systems, so buying them before you got an HD/TDM rig would be rather foolish. I doubt many (if any) have demo'd the Digi Reel Tape Suite plugins, considering they're not available yet.

ejewels, I was told most of the mcdsp TDM plugs do run in PT LE RTAS format except for channel G. Is this wrong? And yes I want to ONE DAY buy a HD system and would obviously prefer to buy the TDM plugs that will run in pt le so I can use them up until I buy a HD system.

There is a second reason to considder the TDM versions and that is that some brands market the TDM versions as "full versions" and the LE/RTAS versions as "light". If you fx buy the Sony EQ, only the TDM version is upgradeble to GML and there is no limitations to the use on a LE system except that you pay for an "extra" TDM plugin that you can not yet use...
