Hello, I posted earlier and Darkstar graciously offered his advice. I have tried to follow it but I still cannot get routing to work right with Omnisphere. No matter what track I play, the console view at the bottom only shows the gain in the Omnisphere A track and I can only manipulate volume from any track I play with the Omni A track. I am confused and would love to get past this. I must be missing something really obvious. Any ideas? Thanks, DudeMeister

The best thing to do is post your Reaper project file here and any relevant screenshots (in a ZIP file) as an attachment so we can have a look at it. When you rpely, scroll down until you see Manage Attachments, click that and upload your ZIP file.

Hello, I have included my project file that does not appear to working correctly. Again, the VSTi track and track one seem to be the only ones to display gain and allow me to modify the gain of other tracks. Thanks for any help! Dudemeister

Well the routing looks Ok to me.. I don't have Omnisphere, but here's your project with another multi-timbral VSTi (Samplelord) on the track with its 3 instruments routed to outputs 3,8 and 6 respectively. All the levels show up in the Mixer. Big pic: I suggest that you double-check that you have got the routing set up properly inside Omnisphere. HTH

Thanks Darkstar. It was a routing issue in Omnisphere. I feel like Homer Simpson. Doh! Dudemeister

Do you mind sharing how you got the routing to work? Thanks...

I have it all figured out so I will post the exact instructions for anyone else out there struggling with this issue: 1. Create a track and then add Omnisphere to that track. This will be called the Omnisphere master track. 2. Go to the fx chain in the master track and right click on the name Omnisphere and choose "build 16 tracks of midi routing" from the menu. This will automatically build 16 midi tracks that are routed to the correct midi channels to trigger each sound in the vsti. For Omnisphere you can just delete the last 8 midi tracks. 3. Right click the plug in name in the fx chain again. Choose "build multichannel route for the output of selected fx." This will build an audio track for each midi channel of the vsti. 4. In Omnisphere go to the multi out settings and set the outputs to A,B,C,D,E,F,G and H. You will be able to trigger each of the sounds in Omnisphere from the corresponding midi tracks from step 2. Now you should be able to hear a different sound from each of Omni's 8 channels on the corresponding midi track in Reaper. So you can record your midi parts in Reaper on the midi track. You will then control the volume, pan and effects of that midi track on the corresponding "audio" track. Remember, the sound of the midi track is routed to the audio track. Also, the last thing I did was saved this configuration as a track template. Now anytime I need to use Omnisphere as a multi-channel vsti, I simply insert the track template into my project and everything is already routed for me. :)

Just found this post and solves exactly the problem I had - thanks FunkyBeat :) I can't though figure out how to record the audio from the corresponding "audio" track. As soon as I arm the track the signal disappears. Can anybody help me? Thanks.
