HI, I have looked fruitlessly at commercial packages to no avail to help me do this: Is there any way it can be done as a macro in Reaper? I would like to generate a chord from a single note - BUT - I would like to be able to generate a different chord for each note of my midi keyboard? This is so that for example, I could have all major chords in my first octave, and say minor chords in the second octave and so on. Any help would be greatly appreciated Pootler

Hi StupeT, Thanks, - I have tried Tonespace as well as Chordspace, and quite a few others, but they don't do what I was talking about? Thanks anyway pootler

Hi How about making the chords you want as individual audio files, then attaching them to single note in a sampler? Didn't know if you wanted this setup to be midi so you still have the flexibility to change the sound. I use to do it my Korg N264 workstation under the RPPR facility. (N264s and 364s are pretty cheap these days) Mike SB

Had a look around.....how about 'Chordworx' by 'Topaz Productions'? Says it will take a single note and trigger up to 7 notes to make a complete chord. Mike SB

Thanks a lot for the reply Mike. UNfortunately I have tried Chordworx( and Pro) as well! - it only deals with a max of one octave. I take your point about audio samples - but sounds like a lot of work!, and also auditioning chords using the sounds/presets used in the arrangement is important for me. THanks for your time Pootler

It would be cool if we had something that worked like a sampler for midi parts that you can assign to any key for playback.
