Caleb, since this is your first post i won't strike you. Your post is a real insult to everyone on this board who's spending some time answering questions. I'll make a list of the forum rule violations you did: - 1) Read up before asking! There are tons of guides, FAQs and each forum has a dedicated Q&A thread with additional info. - 1a) Use the search function before posting. Chances are your question has already been answered. - 2) Respect the netiquette: Lurk and get to know the forum before you post. - 9) Use a title that describes the content of your post. Don't use all caps or special characters to draw attention. That's quite an impressing list for a single post :) But now to your questions: 1) Every binary has it's own xvid.ax (dsf) decoder. It's usually up to date with the latest changes in decoding routines. 2) At the top of this forum is a section called "FAQ". Read it. I mean it. 3) See question 1. And no, 0.9.0 is just a first release of the stable tree, it's a fullblown encoder/decoder (hence CoDec). 4) There is a thread called "dffshow" (right, misspelled) with over 400 posts in it. You're sure you don't get the info you want there? Else go to and read the link "About". You may want to use it as a replacement for xvid/divx decoders - e.g. the xvid decoder is incapable of decoding the latest xvid bitstreams with all features turned on (i think GMC was the problem). With ffdshow you can properly decode it. And you have huge amount of possibilities for post-processing the images. Regards Koepi
