V40 Alarm

Hi There Can Anyone Tell Me How I Can Lock My Car Without The Alam Going Off If I Leave My Dog Inside. Read The Hand Book But Nothingmentioned About Disableing Interior Sensor. It Is A Factory Fitted Volvo Alarm. Cheers

Our V40 T4 has a button above the radio to disable the sensors, although I've never used it, it shows it in the manual. Mike

Yes, button on left of dash, above radio. Close all doors (with you still inside), press button, red light on button comes on, exit vehicle and lock as normal. Vehicle alarm set but interior sensor disabled so dog can get some zzzzzzz's without being disturbed! System will reset itself next time the ignition is switched on. If your handbook says nothing about it then maybe you not got on your model?

Just lock it on the key rather than using the fob so that it just central locks it and doesn't arm the alarm.As a couple of other people have said the later models do have a button inside to disable the interior sensors but earlier models (like my S reg) don't have it!
