Hello to all. New to the DUC and loving it already. I wanted to post a new thread and see what you guys think. I have the problem of NEVER being happy with my mix's or my mastering. So I tried a new chain of plug's and so far I'm digg'n it. Tell me what you think. I changed the drum sound up a bit in "song idea 4" and "rock song 3" these are all rough mix's that took me about 20 min each so bare with me. 1: Waves Rverb 2: BBE Sonic Maximizer (plugin) 3: Waves API 2500 4: Waves L3 Ultramaximizer

Thanks man, The guitar tone is VERY shaky at best. Not written in stone and yes it is DI to a plug-in. I record everything DI now a days. The mic placement still needs work and the fuzzy tone isn't really my thing either. I have gotten a bad ass tone out of amplitube (metal) before, just takes hours of tweaking to get there.

What guitar plug-in did you use if you don't mind me asking? The drums sound pretty good, and I like that I could picture where the vocals go in the track. I find that I over play guitar when I'm trying to write tracks without vocals already written and then later sometimes its hard to add the vocals.

I have the same problem overwriting guitar parts. I'm using IKmultimedia's Amplitube metal by the way. Best guitar plug-in I've heard to date. Its the only plug-in I've used that matches my Mesa triple almost perfect. I had to change how I write for these songs and just cut back to old school one guitar and one lead. I will go in later and double the guitar rhythm hard R and hard L but for only having one rhythm track I think the songs came out pretty good.
