I had the J-station before it melted on me, and the switched to POD. I had my j-station bolted on top of a compressor in my rack and it just sucked all the heat like a sponge and FUBAR'ed. Anyway, when I switched to the new software it appeared to be "not connecting". What you do is manually select the midi ports, it will still "fail to find j-station". You then select all of the presets and then select "initialize". It will look at the j-station and populate all of the banks. This was a bug in the software, but it does work.

I couldnt find a button to initialize. Mipsfuct could you explain it a little more? I got all the way to the initialize part and couldnt find anything to select in the jedit. Thanks
Sorry its been a long time since I used the software...but if you already tried to manually select the ports and it does not find the j-station you may have other problems. That is exactly what happened to me...the next steps where to: 1. Make sure the J-station firmware is 2.0, if not, flash it. 2. For some reason my midi port from USB would not work so i tried the midi port on my Audigy with a game port cable and it lit up instantly. 3. Make sure your midi-in and -outs are connected, this was causing me probs as well.
Hey mipsfuct I found a copy I made my buddy of the soft ware Original j edit last year and he just brought it over and it works fine now. Thanks alot for the help!!!!!!!!!!
