Hey Guys, Just wanted to let you guys know that there's a pretty good deal running now on 2cAudio's Aether reverb plugin. I really like the sound of this reverb. I was quite impressed with the demos during it's release. However, it's high pricetag kept me away. With this current group buy I think I'm going to go ahead and go for it. It's called the KVRgroupbuy but that doesn't mean you have to be a part of KVR. Anyone can join in. Check out the demo version if you're interested. It sounds really lush and full to my ears. It might be the best software verb I've come across. It's surely up there with the other's I have. Here's the link:
Here's a quick and dirty vocal demo I did today while testing this verb out: I just pressed record and sang into the mic. I did some ethnic scales as well as some Mongolian Throat singing. I was trying to go for those rich cinematic vocal phrases.

I've been testing this plugin for several days and it works well in Reaper on my machine. I went ahead and took the plunge on the GB. I'm really diggin' the sound of this verb. I can't wait until the GB is finished.

I just wanted to give this thread a bump since the price for the GB has now gone from $249.95 to $149.95. IMHO this is a steal even at this price. I recorded a few demos for some other users showing what this thing is capable of. I figured I'd share them here too. This thing is easily becoming my favorite software reverb. I can't wait until the GB is over so I can get the full version. I had a guy over at the home recording bbs who is interested in this GB ask me to post some samples of a snare drum running through Aether. I agreed to record and post a demo file for him showing how Aether works on drums. I thought this was a good idea because reverbs often fall short on drums. Aether excelled at this as far as I am concerned. I wanted to share this file here also to show just how good Aether is at this. I tried to run the snare sample through a variety of presets to show some of what Aether can do. I also used a few that I wouldn't normally use on drums, such as large halls and huge ambient effect presets. The first hit is the dry snare sample. The next 5 hits are from some of the Drum presets. The next 3 hits are from larger hall type presets. The last 2 hits are running through more ambient special FX presets. Here are some more files of me singing through Aether. Again, I'm going for that ambient cinematic eastern vocal effect here. The first file is me doing some harmonic overtone Khoomei Mongolian throat singing: The second is me singing in a minor 1/4 tone style:
Just a friendly last day bump. Current official count is 167 by Andrew of 2cAudio. Although there have been 10 more people chime in on the KVR thread saying they've joined also. So the unofficial count looks to be around 177 at the moment. IMO $149.95 is a great deal. It's just bonus if it reaches the next price drop of $125.95.

Great news! 2CAudio has decided to extend the GB for 4 more days. The numbers have already officially reached 203 which now brings the price to $125.95. There's now a good chance it can reach the next and highest level. Here's the GB link: If you were on the fence before, now's your chance to get in on this great deal.
Just want to throw in MHOFWIW. I spent quite a bit of time auditioning the demo and to my ears, this software produces extremely good reverb. I haven't heard any other software reverb that impresses me to the extent that this software does. It's certainly worth the time to get the demo and apply it to something you are currently working on to see how you feel about it.
