add more icons to the tool bar rather than overwriting them when creating custom buttons.

Right click on the empty space in the toolbar, and bring up the toolbar customization(the screen you have already found, I'm assuming). Click on the left side in an empty slot(by default, that is slot 15). Then, in the upper right, change from "Hide" to "Customize". It will then make you select a command or macro. After you do that, select the icon you want to assign to it and hit "Ok". Should be good to go. Brent

THank you so much. I have managed to get them in there but it keeps overwriting the new project icon, and I have to reset it each time I add an icon. At least I'm getting them in there. I read somewhere there are some custom icons you can add to the list. Could you please explain how to do this. Some of these are not exactly waht I need to use for waht I'm doing.

You need to select the button you want to configure (15 in the example), the action (toggle Mixer docking) and the icon you want to use; then click [OK] The default available custom buttons are in: C:\Program Files\REAPER\Data\toolbar_icons. You might find some inspiration for others here: I have created some of my own, put them in the folder for my colour theme, and named them toolbar_custom_1.png etc. Custom buttons in the theme folder override the defaults. So you could copy some of the default button and renumber them if needed. Page 186 in the v3 User Guide. HTH

DArk Star, I downloaded the ones white tie put in the thread for everybody to vote on. I unzipped them and copied the ones I wanted to use to Reaper\color themes\Default_3.0 and also to Reaper\Data\toolbar_icons. I'm trying to swap out some of the default icons with new ones from the list. I named the 1st one I was trying to use custom_toolbar_24 and renamed the existing #24 to 25 so it couldn't read it,,,,,, in both directories. All I get is a little square with the #24 in it in the toolbar,,,,,,,what am I doing wrong? I assume you have to replace one of the icons with the new one ,because it will only hold 24???? Is that correct?

Ok Dark Star, I managed to figure it out ,some how ,on my own,,,,BUT, I'm not sure what I did ? LOL I have the new icon in the main Reaper\color themes directory, the Default_3.0 directory, and the data\toolbar icons directory. They all three are named toolbar_custom_24.png ,,,,,and I renamed the one I replaced as #25 so it couldn't read it. Its working now in the toolbar in a project in reaper. Cool beans............. Thanks for the help. If I am doing something wrong please tell me.
