Problem with sound quality using multi-out Battery

Hello, I am new here and new to using Reaper. IMO this is the best written program I've ever used and potentially the best DAW I've used in 10 years. I do have a problem I haven't been able to resolve. When loading Battery 3 with 8 stereo outs, 2 mono outs, playing my kit gives horrible sound quality, choppy and half the volume and frequency is gone. I'm not sure the best way to describe it, but it's not due to latency or anything like that, as other multi-out instruments play just fine. I have loaded battery in Cubase with the same outs, and it sounds fine. I can't imagine what's causing this behavior so if anyone can shed some light it's appreciated. If necessary I can record a clip and post it somewhere for reference.

Hi brad, welcome to the forums. You may wanna check how is resource usage when playing your project. To do that just go to "View->Performance meter" while playing and check the CPU usage :) Fergo

LOL, I'm retarded. I forgot that I created a default fx chain to be added on each track by default. Removing the fx chains solved the problem. Nice way to start a first post right! I feel stupid but at least it's fixed! Thanks for the welcome. Seriously though... I've used Cubase for years and just discovered Reaper 14 days ago, and I think it's great and I should be returning my dongle soon. I'm not much of a forum poster but I'd like to get more involved with this community. Thanks again!
