Stalling

First thing to do is search for the thread 'DIY code reader' on this forum. Make up the simple circuit. Read any fault codes stored in the engine ECU. Note them down. Reset them as they may be old ones. Read fault codes again when the fault occurs.

I took off the throttle housing and the elbow shaped vacuum hose had a big hole at the crease.So hopefully this was the cause. The throttle housing was very dirty and looking inside the Fuel Pump relay noticed that one of the diodes had melted almost to nothing.This could also have caused a problem once it heated up a bit. I am now waiting for a new relay.Where can I source the vacuum hose?. Also is there a special way to clean the idler control and can I use WD40 to clean this valve and the throttle housing?.

Use carburetter / throttle housing cleaner, you should be able to get it in any car parts store.
