Pimp my Recent FX

+1 for sure! How about also adding a Folder called "Vendors" or something like that which would be AUTOMATICALLY (yes, AUTOMATICALLY) filled with sub-folders containing all your FX distributed by plugin maker? I say this because since Reaper can filter FX by tagging that thing already, how much trouble would it be? And how much painless would it be...

Only as an option, thanks - while I can see that a Vendors folder and sub-folders could be useful for some, it's something I''ve never needed.

Mhmmm, recent folder is a nice idea :) I likey. +1 Off topic: There must be something useful I miss in terms of sorting plugins by vendor. Personally I couldn't care less who coded the plugs i use. I sort them by type and task. If I am looking for an eq, why should I comb through every vendor's folder that I may have an eq from? But it came up several times now, so I figure there must be something about it I don't get? Maybe if someone could elaborate about the advantage of such a sorting methods, (in a new thread, that is) others (who knows, maybe me) would hop on that waggon also and maybe it convinces JCS to implement that?

well, if you look at the FX browser, you'll see: plugin name (vendor) So, if Reaper already tagged FX by vendor so to make them searchable, then you can have a folder there that would have sub-folders with vendors of installed plugins.All that done automatically! I don't see why the "optional" whinning....really. Don't you have a plus sign next to every folder so you can collapse it and thus in this case hide all sub-folders from view? Just look at the pic in post#1. Do you really think another folder there would make things unbearable, if they're not already? But yeah, optional if you say so. One advantage would be for instance, people who are searching for a plugin like the "I can't find my EZDrummer plugin anywhere" would easily go to Vendors/Toontrack and there...
