This was done REALLY quick. Acoustic Drums/Edit/Overdubs/Mix/Master in less than a week. Deadlines can be AWESOME. Factor in the REAL job with family and kids. Not enough hours in the day. . . What do you y'all think?

Intro drum part seemed to carry on a little too long for my liking and the whole thing seemed to be missing the low end (bass and kick) IMO. The snare also seems buried and lifeless in all but the intro. Other than that, I liked it. I liked the vocals. A song I would regularity listen too. Matt

Thank you kindly for your reply Matt! Hope you are enjoying your weekend! Seems like most of the negative feedback I've heard (from people other than Matt) is about the drums. I will work a little harder on that aspect of my mix next time. I buried the bass track a little because I wasn't happy with my performance. I played the guitar too. Not really happy with that performance either. Timeline. Deadline. Yay!! I will tell Shaun that you liked his vocals... it will bolster his ego to hear approval. Thank you! I could try and put up stems for mixing practice if there is any interest.

This is a pretty killer tune, man. Those vocals sound so hard to do, but he pulled it off. I'd change that intro to only play on it's own once. I like the sound of the guitars. The OHs on the drums seem to be getting away from you a little. I'd try a little EQ just to take the extreme highs out of there and compress them if you're not already. Not much kick and bass. There's a thread here in the forums, started by Chris_P_Critter that goes over a lot of metal production tips. You'd probably really dig that. This is a cool track man, if you go any further with it, please post updates. Check out that metal thread!
