hmmmm. can you elaborate a bit on how i'd use this? Got a track with a bit complicating drum programming and would hate to re do it. the kick drum sucks and distorts a lot so i have to replace it with a cleaner one

Say you have your kick (audio) on track 1 and you want to trigger a drum VSTi on track 2 with midi: insert the JS: MIDI/drumtrigger on track 1 and your VSTi on track 2. Click the io button on track 1 & add a send to track 2 selecting 'none' in the first audio dropdown box. Now MIDI notes generated by the JS effect on track one will be sent to track 2. Click the fx button and begin by finding MIDI note that triggers the kick (can vary from VSTi to VSTi). Then w a bit of doodling you ought to be able to get an acceptable result. If you want to use your own sample(s) you can of course use a sampler on track 2. Alternatively you could try (Havent tried it myself though) Yes, Reagate can also be used to send MIDI in much the same way. Hope this was clearer?

As has been said... or you can use DrumReaplacer . Just put it as FX on your kick track, load with a good sample, play and adjust the settings. Quick and easy...
