changing settings after recording

So I recorded this track with reaper and I am looking to fade in and fade out effects from vst knobs. Do I have to change the settings while I am recording or is there a way to change things after the sounds are recorded?

In the TCP.(maybe you have to resize the TCP to make the buttons appear)

Ummm...wrong place, Captain Damage... look higher...higher...now to the left...theeere.. :) (Actually it is a mode displaying button...in the default setting it says "trm" for "trim" automation mode.)
