Hello, I found some time ago that bypassing an envelope with no points other than the first one actually deletes the whole envelope. I think this should be changed because sometimes it can be useful to have a "placeholder" envelope, for example to force or store settings for plugins that don't recall correctly parameter values (after project reload or so) or to remember that a particular parameter is going to be automated at a later stage (track templates?). So, when I want to temporarily "free" one of these parameters and bypass the envelope, this is actually deleted without further notice. Imho an envelope should only be deleted when explicitly required... Thanks, Mario

Wow, I never knew that! That sounds like it can be quite annoying, to say the least. Might a workaround be to add a couple of "dummy" points to the envelope, even "neutral" ones that don't actually change the envelope shape at all? Maybe that could act as temporary fix?
+1 Bump Boing ! I'm working on an envelope script at the moment and envelope lanes disappear when bypassed even though there is a single point at the beginning it says Bypass(removes if empty) which it is not ? It would be fantastic to get this fixed unless I'm missing something or even as an option? Creating dummy points at the moment which is not ideal :( Surely this should be the initial value for the envelope ? Thanks for reading :) Wow, last post 2011 ... I feel old lol
ah yes, fixing this. wow, time has passed. there was a separate issue, where hiding single-point envelopes would re-apply that value back to trim, I can't find the thread. adding a pref option for that too.
Wow !!!! Top Man !!! also can I quickly request turn envelope off mode ? It's the only thing that's missing from perfection :) Thanks Justin, Can't wait :)
