Hi all - continuing the saga of the non starting 00/X XC70 2.4T petrol Auto.... I have been looking at the Haynes Bible for the location of the camshaft position sensor, and it tells me it is here, in the pics I've taken...but according to the pics in the manual, there should be something attached by two (or more) screws to the blank space that I have in my pics....is this where the CPS is, or is it somewhere else on this engine?? Thanks !!

Have a look underneath & behind the top engine steady on the exhaust cam shaft.

Still can't see anything that looks like the sensor - it's not right by the turbo / throttle body way down at the back??

No, use a mirror and look at the back of the cylinder head under where the top engine mounting is attached. The sensor is a black plastic thing, the wiring comes out towards the air filter under the black plastic turbo pipe at the side of the cylinder head.
