Experiencing a new kindof problem with Reaper. Need help with suggestions to solve it. When I hit play, the time display window shows either [Buffering] or [Playing] but the play marker doesn't move and no sound comes. Things remain like this seemingly forever. If I hit stop however, the time display changes to [Stop] - even though it might take a second or two before it does. This happens usually immediately after a project is loaded. But it never seems to happen when the default project is loaded. There is a way I can usually deal with this - usually, not always. What I do, is I go into the preferences, and check/uncheck one or two of the following settings: Buffering > Use new alternate worker thread scheduling Audio > Reduce CPU use of silent tracks during playback This will take care of thing at the moment. Reaper will be working fine. But when Reaper is left in the background for a few minutes (in [Stop] mode) and I return to the program, then the problem reiterates itself again. Every once in a while, checking/unchecking the settings above won't solve it, so then I have to close Reaper down, restart it and reload the project. This has happened within the last few days, a week most. All the projects that I'm loading up are same old ones I've been using for weeks, which has worked just fine. And I am not using any newly installed plugins in either the new projects or the old ones. I have problems knowing where to look next for a solution. I could use some help. Using Win8.0 and Reaper 4.77, all x64. thx in advance /C
