I just spent all day on a session and suddenly it crashes PT whenever I open it. It opens all the way; you can see it for about one second and then... BOOM. "Unexpectedly Quit." I'm not hitting any keys or anything; I just watch it die before my eyes. I thought it might be something with Rewire, but there's no way to tell PT "not" to open Reason if it's in the session... or is there a way?? Anyway, I tried everything I could think of. It's happening over & over. ...help?

Quit PT and trash your PT prefs (see digi OSX setup thread at the top of DUC for info) and then launch ProTools from the dock (NOT the session's PT icon) - create a new, blank ProTools session, then import all your tracks from the old corrupted session into this new happy session. using the 'import session data' command will ensure that all your automation and plug-ins come along with the imported audio tracks - if you want to avoid rewire, don't import the tracks that had the rewire plug-in on them. No need to panic, you'll be up and running again in no time.

Yep, it worked. THANKS. Sorry for not doing a search here first... seems all kinds of people had the same problem. Interestingly, I couldn't get all the tracks to work. Is it possible for specific tracks to be corrupted? My Reason input track was the culprit, and when I made a new one from scratch, it worked. Weird. Thanks again.
