What a silly post ? Because you are behind the times by twenty years the rest of us should be grateful ? Time has moved on a long way since your 4 track so perhaps you are the one that should be grateful not the rest of us who actually paid the way (Twenty years of funding hi tech companies is rather a lot) through to this brave new world ;) NAS

I agree! It's just amazing how far technology has come, especially recently. I mean, I just read a thread here about someone being able to multi-track ON THEIR PHONE. I started messing with computers in elementary school, memorizing MS-DOS commands on an IBM 386.. Who would have thought that we'd be where we are today? Incredible times we're living in. I'm thankful for the Cockos team for coming along and moving me away from my old SONAR DAW. I'm working way faster AND smarter, and saving money while I do it! Thanks devs!

Have to chime in with my old Fostex X15. Still have it. Sure, we are spoiled today, thanks to great software. Reaper not least.

Thanks for the welcome. I seem to have stirred up some (not so ) fond memories! NAS, I didn't mean to imply that those of you who brought us into the brave new world haven't made it wonderful for us newcomers. Thanks for taking the pain for the team. Trust me, I paid plenty to bring some other bleeding edge technologies out of the crawling stage. JBM got my point: What we have is so incredibly wonderful that we should be in thankful to those who created it for us, and not complain if it isn't perfect. Especially at the price. I think we should always push for improvement. The devs here are certainly responsive to FR's and usually react quickly to a reported bug. I just think the tone of some of the complaints comes across as whining and wanted to show that 'It Ain't So Bad'. I look forward to enjoying the these forums for a long time to come.

I've been using REAPER 2 years now, started out with a cheap reel 2 reel tape recorder over forty years ago, and used everything else since. I still know what you are saying Kevin - knocks me out every day

The biggest problem with reaper is that it doesn't do valet or serve you meals. Other than that it's great!

interesting that even though people can get quality software, a responsive development team, and a wonderful community for a very low price, they still seem to feel they are 'owed' the fulfillment of their expectations.
