I asked in how to if this was an option and was told no. Would it be possible to create a midi paint tool? So that it will create a midi note per snap instance? So if you held (oh...a shortcut key plus left mouse button) that it would create a note ever X grid line. So if you had the snap setting to 1/64, it would create a note every 64th note.

Hi trifecta, I have the following actions mapped to my 'Z' key (use whatever key you want). Insert new MIDI item Item: unselect all items When I hold the 'Z' key and click and drag in the MIDI editor it will place notes according to my snap setting. For instance I can place a 4-beat bar of 1/16 notes by dragging across the bar. I'm not sure if this does exactly what you're wanting, but hopefully it helps cheers :)

Thats ALMOST it...see, it is painting at every snap line, but what I am looking for creates a NEW note for every snap line, not one continuous line...unless I did something wrong in the action.
