Hello, I'm running LE 8 on a laptop with xp. Last night I was working on one of my songs and everything was working fine. Today I booted up Pro Tools and recorded about 6 or 7 second of vocals. I tried to open my melodyne bridge and got an error saying there was a DAE error 7401. Same thing happened with autotune and my other plugins. So I saved a copy thinking my session somehow got currupted but when i went to open the copy, half my plug ins became inactive and pro tools told me I had "Insufficient resources" to open them. I have 144 gb left of free space on my hard drive so I dont see why its saying insufficient resources. Would those 7 seconds really take up all the space I have left? Or is RAM the issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think "Insufficient Resources" is referring to your processor being tied up with other programs, or it may not be fast enough for that session. Make sure you've gone through all the optimizations in the General Troubleshooting thread - especially where it talks about disabling Startup Programs in MSCONFIG. Pretty much you want just LE running and nothing else. Try disabling your NIC too.

Ok so I turned off my NIC, I only have the protective programs active under msconfig ( I used sysinfo.org). So now everything boots up fine all my plugins load but now before i can do anything i get the microscoft c++ error saying that their is a runtime error in the protools.exe file. This supposedly has to do with rewire from what I've read. I'm wiring in Reason so I'm going to try to troubleshoot that now. Any other suggestions for this error? Thanks again for the help

Ok so one of my sessions screws up pro tools and produces the runtime error, so perhaps the file is currupt? But now when i load my session the audio doesn't output even though the outputs for my channels are set to interface 1/2 but if i hold alt and reset them all to interface 1/2 it works fine, and my ROCK AMP LEGENDS plugin doesnt have the same setting as before... but the autotune plugin still doesnt work, my melodyne brige loaded and booted melodyne but when i removed the bridge i couldn't put it back on the track because it gave me a dae error. Thanks
