Am I missing something here? It looks like we're back to v4 envelope scaling where it's visually relative, not dB relative.

Thanks for the improvements on relative envelope editing. Seems to work good here now on first tests, noticeably more responsive indeed. Semi-related to envelope editing, what I've wondered... I'm adjusting a gain plugin here. When hovering over the envelope, actual db values of the plugin are shown, good. When dragging envelope however, internal values (0 to 1) are shown which is not that useful in this case it seems to me. Maybe actual (named) plugin parameters could be shown in the tooltip instead when dragging envelope ?

That is due to a VST 2.4 limitation, nofish. Unless the plugin implements , it can't provide a descriptive string for a particular value w/o setting the parameter.
